Celebrating marriage and baptism together and supporting one another at the death of a loved one are central aspects of the community life of St Mary Magdalene.
Baptism is celebrated as part of our regular Sunday morning service. We are very flexible and don't have specific Sundays set aside for baptism, but be sure to contact our Rector, Charles Morris to talk about possible dates and other details. There are no fees or costs associated with Baptism.
Our church is a very beautiful space for a traditional wedding ceremony. We use approved Anglican wedding ceremonies, and marriage in the church first and foremost means wanting God to be part of your wedding and your life together. To be married at St Mary Magdalene at least one of you must be baptized. In keeping with the Pastoral Guidelines and authorization issued by the Bishop of Ontario, St Mary Magdalene offers the sacrament of marriage and the blessing of civil marriage to same-sex couples. Our Rector, Charles Morris, or our Parish Deacon, Fran Langlois, will be pleased to speak with you about your plans. There are fees for the church, the minister, and the musical director.
The death of a loved one is always hard, but the burden can be shared as we gather as a community to support one another, say our final goodbye, and then entrust the departed to God's gracious keeping.
Please contact the clergy at any time about funeral and memorial service arrangements. We will do our very best to accommodate your needs and help you through this difficult passage.
